2 Wood Triples - Competition Rules
All games will be played in line with the laws of the sport of bowls.
The format is "2 Wood Triples"
Teams can be of any combination.
All games will be played over 18 ends.
2 points will be awarded for a win and 1pt for a draw.
If there is a tie to decide the winner in each division then shot difference will count, and in the unlikely event of there still being a tie then the result of the game between the 2 teams concerned will count to decide the group winners.
The final shall be contested by the winners of groups: A v B.
At the completion of 18 ends in the final, if the score is level, then the skips shall toss for the mat and play a sudden death end to decide the winner.
No Trial ends in each game, 1 shot only on the first two ends.
If an end is “killed,” for example, the jack goes out of the rink of play, the jack is to be re spotted on the rink crosses.
There are no restrictions on visiting the head.
Substitutes are permitted.
If a team is not available to commence play 15 minutes after the scheduled start time, the match will be awarded to the opposition.
